The storage system such as a battery plays a vital role in various important applications such as an electric vehicle, renewable energy sources (RES) integrated smart grid, microgrid, etc. For efficient operation of the battery, we need a battery management system (BMS) which helps to prevent its overcharging and undercharging, increases capacity utilization and lifespan, improves reliability, reduces cost, and ensures the safety of the battery and its surroundings.

Team Renewable Energy is actively working on

  1.  Estimation of important states of the battery such as state of charge.

  2.  Identification of battery model parameters.
